Oblate Youth Summer Camp 2013

For the forth year in succession the Oblate Youth Summer Camp took place in Blue Peris, Caernafor, North Wales. Twenthy Six 11-14 year olds took part in the activity, faith based camp which was support by 8 adult leaders and Fr Irvin Moratsil OMI.

When the group coming from around the whole Anglo Irish Province gathered, we were faced with a number of problem solving activities such as trust building exercises before undertaking faith building workshops in the evening.

Over the course of the week the group delveved into a series of outdoor fun such as Sea Level Traversing, Absailing, Team Raft Building Challenges and a group Kayak race accross lake Padarn-Llanberis.

The week concluded by celebrating mass together before heading home in high spirits. A massive thankyou is due to all involved in helping out during the week without whom it would not have been possible to make it work. From the Oblate Youth Service, Andrew Cassidy was responsible for Co-Ordinating the event with the help from Ronan Lavery and Fergal Owens. A massive thanks also to Christine Hunt, Louise Dwyer, Hannah Jewell, Collette Kerr and Niamh Roberts.
