REGISTER FOR WORLD YOUTH DAY 2016 WITH THE OBLATE YOUTH SERVICE

What is World Youth Day?

World Youth Day is an international pilgrimage for young people instituted by Saint John Paul II. This year it will be taking place in Kraków, Poland with an estimated 2 million young people attending from all over the world.

Why attend World Youth Day 2016 with the Oblates?

People all over the world will be making the journey to Kraków for this incredible experience of a truly universal Church. You will meet Catholics from every continent and discover that the Church is vibrant and full of life. This is your opportunity to see that ‘the Church is alive, the Church is young” Pope Benedict.

If you travel with the Oblates you will have the opportunity to partake in The Wroclow Youth Festival for five days prior to the World Youth Day celebrations. Here you will meet with the Polish Oblates and the wider Oblate Family, taking part in a number of activities and at the same time learning more about St Eugene de Mazenod, a man who is described as “having a heart as big as the the world”.

This will be a great chance to meet people who have travelled from other parts of the world including Oblate parishes, encounter St. Eugene de Mazenod and prepare to celebrate World Youth Day with Pope Francis.
